The Gateway Memorial Day Tournament was started in 2002 to provide revenue for two not-for-profit organizations serving the youth of the Gateway School District, the Gateway Youth Athletic Association, and the High School Booster Club. As the only soccer tournament in Massachusetts held Memorial Day weekend outside of Eastern Mass, it provides the perfect opportunity for teams to prepare for their spring playoffs. Besides exciting soccer from early morning until well into the afternoon, there is plenty of activities to keep the players and their families busy between games. The always busy concession booth has a fully stocked inventory offering plenty of food, drink, and snacks. There are booths with soccer equipment, souvenirs, raffles, and tournament t-shirts.
