02/08/2012 - Meet Marie Bushor.
Meet our Competetive Soccer Director, Marie Bushor.
Marie Bushor has been with GYAA since July of 2006 as the Secretary, as well as a sports parent. She has been a summer camp coordinator, done some fundraising, and helped with special events, such as the Memorial Day Tournament, the Fall Playoffs for Pioneer Valley and the Volunteer Appreciation Dinners. She oversaw the creation of the GYAA website, and is currently hoping to head up a committee to select our new soccer uniforms. If anyone would like to join in. I am also on the Memorial Day Tournament committee, as the Marketing and PR person.
Marie believes that being part of a sports team can provide a sense of self-confidence through achievement, create friendships and promote physical fitness.

"Playing rec basketball introduces the game to kids and teaches them about team work. While they learn basketball concepts and skills they are also introduced to winning and losing. It is also a fun way to exercise and get out of the house during the long winter."
